Thank you so much for your interest in baking healthy treats for our lunches! Please review the following tips and guidelines and feel free to contact our Operations Manager, Salem Kirby, with any additional questions at: email@example.com
First and foremost, for the safety of the children we serve, please carefully review and complete the Baker’s Safety Agreement. You can view and print this document here. Bring this completed document in with you when you deliver your baked goods – we have extras on hand if you do not have access to a printer.
Volunteer baking is a job you can do whenever it suits you – you just bake according to directions, cut, and wrap the squares and freeze. For allergy safety purposes, we do require that bakers stick to the recipes listed on this page.
Baked treats should be delivered to our operations facility located at 355 NW Crawford Place in Winston Salem, NC 27105. We can accept baked donations on Saturdays, 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM or Thursdays, 3:00 PM – 4:30 PM. If these times do not work for your schedule, please call or email to schedule an alternate delivery time.

Thanks so much for your willingness to bake these healthy treats!! We cannot thank you enough for helping.
All recipes can be made in either (2) 9×13 pans or a 15×21 pan.
We need 1000 desserts, 50 weeks a year, so we accept and freeze treats year-round.
We have some ingredients at our facility for you to pick up, if you like, to help offset your costs. Please feel free to pick up what you need during the same drop off times listed above. We typically have flour, sugar, canola oil, chocolate chips, and pumpkin.
The number of pieces that you should get out of a recipe are written on each recipe sheet. Don’t worry if you don’t get exactly that number. We just try to make the size of the square as uniform as possible so each child gets the same size treat. The squares should be close to 2×2 inches each.
The desserts need to be individually wrapped. We have found the best way to do this is to invest in a large box of saran wrap from Sam’s Club or Costco (cost is approximately $15). It makes the tedious task of individual wrapping go faster. If you would rather not have a lifetime supply of plastic, fold top sandwich bags are usually available at our facility for you to use and work great too! Please fit as many as you can into a large bag then use our inventory card to document your contact information and content details – the card can be left inside the large bag.
Directions to HOPE Operations Facility:
From the Goodwill at the corner of Coliseum and University, proceed south on University Parkway, toward downtown. Take a left at 25th Street (the first light south of Coliseum) and then take an immediate right onto Cherry Street. Go to the stop sign and turn left onto NW Crawford Place (you will see Kimberley Park Elementary School in front of you). Our facility is about 1/4 mile down the road, on the north side of the street.
