Bake Healthy Treats

First and foremost, for the safety of the children we serve, please carefully review and complete the Baker’s Safety Agreement. You can view and print this document here. Bring this completed document in with you when you deliver your baked goods – we have extras on hand if you do not have access to a printer.

Volunteer baking is a job you can do whenever it suits you – you just bake according to directions, cut, and wrap (or bag) the squares (or mini muffins) and freeze. For allergy safety purposes, we do require that bakers stick to the recipes listed on this page.

We are located at 355 NW Crawford Place in Winston Salem and donations can be dropped off during the following hours each week. Email or give us a call at (336) 750-7964 if you need to arrange a time outside of these hours. Please contact us to verify these hours for weeks surrounding major holidays or inclement weather.

All recipes can be made in (2) 9×13 pans, a 15×21 pan, or mini muffin pans (with or without liners). Recipes are written for mini muffin pans but cook times can be doubled for pans.

We need over 1,000 desserts, 50 weeks a year, so we accept and freeze treats year-round.
We have some ingredients at our facility for you to pick up to help offset your costs. Please feel free to pick up what you need during the same drop off times listed above. We typically have flour, sugar, canola oil, chocolate chips, pumpkin, applesauce, and more. We typically do not have eggs.

Try to make the size of the squares as uniform as possible so each child gets the same size treat. The squares should be close to 2×2 inches each.

The desserts need to be individually wrapped (one cut square or two mini muffins) in ziplock bags or plastic wrap. Please fit as many individual servings as you can into a large gallon ziplock bag then use our inventory card to document your contact information and content details – the card can be left inside the large bag.
