Staff & Board

Meet our wonderful team of Superheroes! H.O.P.E. of Winston-Salem has a small, but mighty staff of full & part-time employees that lead our operations and drive our organization forward.

Scott Best, Executive Director

“Scott began his journey with HOPE of Winston-Salem in November 2017 after relocating from Chicago. Formerly in the private sector, Scott made a career change back in 2008 and dedicated himself to ensuring all children and families have access to nutritious food supplies. He lives in Winston-Salem with his wife and daughter.”

Salem Kirby, Program Director

“Salem joined the HOPE team in 2021 with a background in sales and restaurant management and a wealth of experience working with children – from providing therapeutic services for children with developmental disabilities to her work as a licensed foster parent and more. When she isn’t busy playing with food at HOPE and dreaming up new programs, you can likely find her at a Carolina shag dance event with her daughters.”

Tyler Beyea, Development Director

“Tyler became a HOPER in 2018 and will talk about HOPE anytime, anywhere, with anyone because the cause is so important to her heart. With a background in advertising, sales and marketing, and a focus on parenting media, Tyler’s need was to get involved with an organization making change, for better health and wellness in children. When Tyler isn’t a HOPEbassador, she resides in Winston-Salem with her husband, son and a mini zoo of dogs, cats and a turtle named Kiwi. She is also involved in allergy awareness and organ donation causes, as her 10 year old daughter passed away from anaphylaxis, with no history of nut allergies. It is important to note that all HOPE meals are allergen-free, which is another reason it is such an important organization to be part of.”
