Staff & Board

Meet our wonderful team of Superheroes! H.O.P.E. of Winston-Salem has a small, but mighty staff of full & part-time employees that lead our operations and drive our organization forward.

Scott Best, Executive Director

“Scott began his journey with HOPE of Winston-Salem in November 2017 after relocating from Chicago. Formerly in the private sector, Scott made a career change back in 2008 and dedicated himself to ensuring all children and families have access to nutritious food supplies. He lives in Winston-Salem with his wife and daughter.”

Salem Kirby, Program Director

“Salem joined the HOPE team in 2021 with a background in sales and restaurant management and a wealth of experience working with children – from providing therapeutic services for children with developmental disabilities to her work as a licensed foster parent and more. When she isn’t busy playing with food at HOPE and dreaming up new programs, you can likely find her at a Carolina shag dance event with her daughters.”
