Meet our wonderful team of Superheroes! H.O.P.E. of Winston-Salem has a small, but mighty staff of full & part-time employees that lead our operations and drive our organization forward.
Scott Best, Executive Director
Scott began his journey with HOPE of Winston-Salem in November 2017 after relocating from Chicago. Formerly in the private sector, Scott made a career change back in 2008 and dedicated himself to ensuring all children and families have access to nutritious food supplies. He lives in Winston-Salem with his wife and daughter.
Andie Griffin, Program Coordinator
Andie is a chef with over 15 years of experience. She believes it important for families, especially kids, to be able to have access to nutritious meals while also being able to learn about food, nutrition and how to prepare a meal. When not working, Andie enjoys spending time with her 6 year-old son, baking and gardening. To contact Andie, please email Andie@hopews.org.
Alice Ashburn, Operations Coordinator
Alice started at HOPE after moving to Winston Salem from Boone, NC, where she spent the past few years farming, gardening, and working on local food access initiatives. At HOPE, she makes sure operations are running smoothly and food is being distributed to the correct places! In her freetime, she enjoys crafting, knitting and sewing, gardening, and anything outdoors. To contact Alice, email her at alice@hopews.org.
Krissy Hatcher, Development Coordinator
Krissy is passionate about supporting community health and helping children and families thrive. With a background in healthcare administration and a Master of Public Health, she is especially interested in addressing health disparities and improving access to nutritious food. At H.O.P.E. of Winston-Salem, Krissy supports donor and donation management, fundraising events, grant research, and community outreach to help strengthen the organization’s impact.
