Applicants will be reviewed on a rolling basis for our Fall 2026 Internship opportunities, with preference given to those who apply by August 15th. Start late August/September through December

​ Qualifications for all internships:

  • Interest inbuilding secure food systems
  • Ability to work independently with self-guided initiative​
  • Knowledge of and experience with social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram)
  • Strong attention to detail and well organized
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Ability to complete tasks and respond to communications in a timely manner
  • Comfortable interacting with diverse populations and speaking in front of groups of people
  • Working knowledge of Google Drive and Canva

General Internship Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with HOPE’s staff to support weekly operations- from setup at our Tuesday market and Kids Cooking Classes to supporting our preparation for weekend food distribution
  • Complete routine tasks such as set-up/break-down of the Market space and weekly organizational tasks.
  • Other duties pertaining to market program as needed by HOPE’s staff
  • 8-15 hours a week
  • Availability on Tuesdays, Wednesday OR Thursday, and Friday mornings preferred. We can work with your schedule- still apply if you aren’t sure.
  • Schedule may vary depending on interest and duration of the internship. 

Focus Area Descriptions: Possible focus areas could develop in the internship depending on interest and experience.

Operations Focus:

  • Support the planning, publicizing, and facilitating of events for Kids Cooking Classes, Neighborhood Market, and Help Our People Eat Program.
  • Help out with garden maintenance, harvest, and prep for market
  • Directly communicating with local organizations, community spaces, and nonprofits etc. to expand the our community reach

Social Media and Marketing Focus:

  • Create content for newsletter, social media posts, and printed promotional material.
  • Design special event flyers, write Instagram captions, create reels
  • Take photos throughout the market or during volunteer events
