Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons oil or butter
- 1 large onion chopped
- 10 cups water
- 6 cups or one large head cabbage chopped
- 4 cups diced peeled potatoes
- 3 boullion cubes (chicken or vegetable)
- ½ teaspoon pepper
- ½ teaspoon ground garlic
- 4 cups of cubed ham (optional)
Directions
In a large saucepan sauté onion until tender in the oil or butter. Add the water, cabbage, potatoes, boullion cubes, pepper and garlic. Cover and simmer for 20-25 minutes until the potatoes are tender. You can puree if you want or add the ham (if you have) and just serve!
